New Breakbeat Paradise Recordings E.P dropped today & FREE Track!

Check out the latest release to drop on the highly respected Breakbeat Paradise Recordings label, run by the equally respected artist - Badboe.

BBP Recordings welcomes onboard the Mustbeat Crew for this offering - a group of DJs, musicians, and party promoters from Budapest, who also do graphic design, video and various other art projects.


The group is based on the Listen! record shop, founded in 1998, that
organised parties, promoted DJs and ran a small graphic design studio.

After closing the shop the members created Mustbeat in 2001 to promote their own art, DJ their own music, and build a strong identity as a group.



As a big supporter of the NuFunk/Funky Breaks scene for years is now ready to release their first solo EP "Get This Clear" –  on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, with a little help from well-established NuFunk artists BadboE, Jayl Funk and Quincy Jointz.

Tracklist:

A. The MustBeat Crew kicks off the EP with the mysterious yet very groovy
original mix of the Get This Clear tune. MC Kemon is bringing the fresh
and spot on lyrical contribution to make this a wicked dancefloor tune.

B. BadboE is dropping the first remix and he is bringing some heavy duty
bass and pumping beats. This remix will fit right in there between those
heavy bassdriven Ghetto Funk tunes that are rockin dancefloors around the
world right now!

C. Jayl Funk never disappoints on a remix and this is no exception. Once
again he is keeping it real to the funk with straight-up funky breaks and
true funky music elements. This remix will leave you very little chance to
sitting still!

D. Quincy Joints returns to BBP after a long absence since doing his
groovy remix on BadboE’s Funkaholic EP. Yet another funky Quincy remix is
in this pack, which manages to keep the mysterious feel of the original
and adding some really danceable grooves.

Nick Thayer & Ali B - Bombstrikes Vol. 19

Label veteran Nick Thayer comes together with breaks legend Ali B to create an absolutely tearing release - even by Bombstrikes' very high standards!

Three tracks of pure dancefloor-friendly fire, this is a no-brainer for any NuFunk DJ.

A mad-catchy horn riff and killer hip-hop breaks combine on 'Music', while 'N E Way' gives Dillinger's 'Cocaine' the NuFunk banger treatment.

The phatest track is probably 'Back To You', which unleashes an insanely bouncy bassline alongside a classic De La Soul sample. BIG TINGS!

A classic house vocal gets the funky breaks treatment on this vinyl only release from Nova Gain Records.

The 'Original Version' is pretty cool, but CMC & Silenta's version really kicks off. Ditching the original vocal for Candy Staton's anthemic 'You've Got The Love' and turning the Latin funk up to 11, the Manmade guys create a monster of a track!

Omegaman - Hip Drop EP

The mighty Omegaman brings the funky hip hop vibes on 'Hip Drop' with catchy scratchy cuts, skankin' guitars and a couple of wicked breakdown and drop moments.

Label head-honcho Badboe takes the track into slinky groove territory with some soulful vocal touches while Jayl Funk spins off into a smooth Balearic world of his own with tight stepping drums and lush horn grooves.

Rephrase gets moody with a smoked-out hip hop mix full of haunting instrumentation and bomb-droppin' vocal snippets.

Dirty Dubsters - Big Tings Ft. Bass Nacho

Dublin's Dirty Dubsters bounce back with a ska-hop sizzler ready to squeeze the last drop of sunshine out of the British summer.

'Big Tings' does exactly what it says on the tin, with fat beats, a head-nodding, foot-stomping groove and an incredible vocal performance courtesy of Bass Nacho.

Mr Benn comes with a second version 'pon de flip.

Timothy Wisdom & The Outlier - The Lollidrop EP

Almost certainly one of the heaviest releases to hit our inbox this month -  this new Big M phatty hits harder than a hammer!

The title track is a swung-out booty which will get the girls flooding to the floor and put a crazy grin on the face of the crowd before smashing them to pieces with its lung-rupturing bassline.

'Rock With Me' doesn't let up the pressure either - boom bap beats and a bassline ruder than a Bernard Manning joke book slam out on this one.

Rennie Pilgrem - Street Legal EP 2

The world of breaks was divided when Rennie, one of the godfathers of the scene, took a funkier direction last year on his Street Legal EP. Since then, he's been busy in his Bushdoctors guise.

Now he's back with another in the Street Legal series and it bangs! Rennie brings the funky housey break stylings on intro track 'Chocolate', before Indian style strings and some serious squonky FX announce the arrival of 'Grasshoppa'.

'Last Train' and 'Paint Strippa' bounce through tight funky breaks territory, while 'Kind of Brown' is an unexpected chillout trip.

Tune of the album for my money is 'Dalek Dub' - a mid-tempo funk roller with wicked bass, crispy beats and laid-back yet danceable vibes.

Funky Friday Round-Up

After a week’s sabbatical, we’re back with a vengeance, and a crate full of serious funk for your trunk, with blazing joints from WARA, Hint, the Manmade crew, Badboe, Funk Burners and Rory Hoy.

WARA – Get Your Woman On The Floor EP

Three big tracks on Rebel Scream first, on this party-friendly release from WARA that’s already getting big support from Lebrosk, Kid Stretch and Jayl Funk.

The title track is where the serious gold is on this release - blending buzzing bass with disco groove and even a couple of Coolio snippets.

‘Banger Again’ takes a smooth flute sample and adds head-nodding hip-hop vibes. The Stakka Bo sample may be a touch too cheesy for some dancefloors though. ‘Unbelievable Banger’ takes the EMF classic and gives it a few subtle tweaks – not my thang, but if the crowd was in the mood, they’d love this one.

Hint – Beryllium EP

Genre-defying beats from Tru Thoughts now, on an EP which opens with ‘Give It Up’ – an 80’s-influenced synth funk track with mad party vibes. Vocals come courtesy of Josie Stingray and 1-O.A.K, making this a wicked party starting tune.

‘Pretty Stable’ and ‘Gallop Track’ also feature lush synth sounds, but stray into peak-time ‘Crack House’ territory, with skittering beats and enough bouncy baselines to turn heads as you cruise past in your Vauxhall Nova.

Various Artists – Manmade Feature Funk Vol. 9

The Feature Funk series is a kind of quality guarantee, in a scene where it’s sometimes hard to find the nuggets amid a sea of dodgy edits and boots and this ninth release in the series is no exception.

The EP opens in fine style with ‘Chainsaw Massacre’ by CMC & Silenta, a track which effortlessly blends what feels like dozens of different tracks into a single, dancefloor-devastating, raga-funk-soul-hop mash. If music was drugs, this would be a crack bong – INTENSE!

Moodbase is next up, with ‘Put Your Hands Up’, injecting a heavy Deep Purple riff (yes, that riff!) with growling bass and hype hip-hop vocals. Anthemic booty business.

Telephunken goes back, waaaaay back, with ‘Really Sayin’ Something’ and ‘It’s a Beautiful Day’ – both of which take crusty soul classics and update them for a modern dancefloor.

‘Hit The Road’ by Tom Drummond hits hard with crisp breaks and booming bass laced under the unmistakable Ray Charles anthem. Tom adds acidic bass tweaks and vocal scratches, to create some incredible party fodder.

Badboe – Shine Like A Halo/Masterpiece

Badboe is back in the house with some crazy party fire on Bomb Strikes. ‘Shine Like a Halo’ is a thumping hip-hop banger that gives Dusty Springfield’s ‘Son Of A Preacher Man’ a new twist.

‘Masterpiece’ on the flip keeps the vibes going with Jurassic 5 flows over lowdown dirty bass.

Funk Burners – Electric In The Streets/Whatchya Got

Tough funk breaks and old skool electro vibes meet disco-hop groove on this 12” from new imprint Funk Burners.

‘Electric In The Streets’ takes Eddy Grant’s ‘Electric Avenue’ on a spin through funky town, with hard machine drums, electro bass and retro stabs.

‘Whatchya Got’ is a flowing funky disco joint with some wicked little touches of Q-Tip lyrics to add some bounce. With a couple of lush filtered breakdowns and an infectious groove, this is a seriously booty-shaking track.

Rory Hoy – Baby Likes It Fat

Rory Hoy is on fire this year, and this album on Freddy Fresh’s Howlin’ label shows we’ve barely scratched the surface of his talents.

Ranging from hip-hop to breaks, bigbeat, house, chillout and even full-on 60s Northern Soul – this album combines musicality and pop sensibilities without compromising on underground credibility or danceability. No mean feat.

Highlights include the acid bigbeat madness of ‘On The Floor 1,2,3’ and the raw funk of ‘D Sez Yeah’ and the slow-mo disco flavours of ‘Nightflight’.

Really though, every track on this release is a blinder in its own right. Preview below and buy on Juno.

Rory Hoy & DJ Prosper – T-Rex Booty

As if the album wasn’t impressive enough, Rory is also behind this wicked party booty out on Big M.

The T-Rex track gets a total of three re-rubs, one from Hoy & Prosper, one from Big M and a third ‘Funky mix’, which is my pick of the bunch.

The unexpected gold for me though is on the flip – where ‘Saturday Night Routine’ drops incredible slinky disco flavour.

The NuFunk.net Launch Party - Nine Days To Go!

We're just over a week away from the party that promises to be one of the best NuFunk shindigs of the Summer - our very own launch party.

It's taking place on Friday, July 9th, at the completely lush Lost Angel bar in Battersea, from 8pm to 3am and it's completely free before 9pm.

There's an incredible line-up of DJs in store and we thought we'd take this opportunity to introduce them to you and drop a cheeky mix or two to let you know how they roll.

BadboE

Travelling all the way from Denmark to rock an hour-long headline set, BadboE is legendary in NuFunk circles as the man who founded the Breakbeat Paradise website and record label.

His debut album 'Break The Funk' was a huge release and has recently been followed by a remix package that is in almost every DJs playlist.

With storming 'must have' releases on Bomb Strikes and Goodgroove under his belt, BadboE is one of the mac-daddies of the NuFunk scene.

His 'Pushin' The Funk' mixtape gives a flavour of what you can expect.


Johnny Pluse

Label owner, DJ, producer and all round funky geezer Johnny Pluse is taking time out to spin at the launch party before embarking on a UK and US tour to promote his new album 'How Much For The Monkey?'

His tracks will inject a serious dose of party-friendly breaks and bass into proceedings, so hold tight and listen to his brand new 'Monkey Mix' for a taster.






Hayz 

Hayz is one of the most talented breaks DJs in the UK with his awesome nu-funk breaks and unique style of mixing, cutting and scratching. His music is infectious and constantly exclusive – providing the perfect balance between commercial and cool.

Co-founder of NuFunk.net & Headspin Promotions and signed by multiple record labels, Hayz is now in demand after his recent Ghetto Base E.P hit no.1 in the singles Charts, as well as topping the Funk, Breaks & Electro charts on Juno Records.

Hong Kong Ping Pong

 The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club is the funky love child of Dj's Morphosis and Fat Harry.


They enjoy a right old weekly knees up on their NSB Radio show 'Beating The Crates' every Monday, and have been doing so for the past few years now. So when somebody, somewhere, suggested the show was too good to be confined to the web-waves, they decided to fully oblige, and bring it to you live!

Whilst the name 'Beating The Crates' works for the radio show, it didn't sound quite right for the club night, and so, after recalling certain impressive Asian skill sets, The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club was born!

This mixtape takes you on a trip from old to new and rough to smooth in a funked-up mystery tour of beats. Their set should not be missed.

Chris Awesome

Chris Awesome never fails to fill the dance floor every-time he's at the turn tables. Priding himself on having the best tunes out there, mixed with a funky blend of beats and scratching, he now has one of the freshest, funkiest sounds around!

Having played on the Isle of Wight and the south-coast, Chris brings with him the sounds of pure party time. If it's feel good funky tunes your after, Chris Awesome has them by the bucketload!

When he's not DJing or creating bangers in the lab, Chris is co-founder, writer and designer for NuFunk.net.

You probably already know his releases on Big M, but if you need more persuading, here's a live funk mix he's put together.

101 Connection

The101connection is Alex Swann and Neil Rebbeck. They are breakbeat dj duo based in the South East.

Al began dj'ing in 2002 and has co-presented a show on NSB radio for 3 years. He has promoted several nights in the South and on the South Coast, holding down 2 local residencies this year and in March 2007 won dj competition "Battle of the Dj's" hosted by the Funky End Bar in Aldershot. Highlights have included appearances at Ministry of Sound, Guilfest Festival, Slinky and The Double X Festival in Slovakia, playing alongside dj's such as The Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, Atomic Hooligan, Dopamine, Plaza Da Funk, Far Too Loud, Rico Tubbs, Groove Diggerz, Precision Cuts, The Breakfastaz and many more.

Neil has been involved in the scene for 6 years where he saw an opportunity to channel his very diverse music tastes into dj'ing. He has been a co-promoter and dj for both "The Friday Funktion" and "Fractured Funk" at the Funky End Bar, still going strong in its 3rd year. Mixing a varied blend of hip-hop, funk and nuskool breaks has been proving popular with regular appearances at Guilfest festival, Echo and the ever popular Rockit Science at Camden's Lockside Lounge.

Expect funk of the highest order, as this mix will show!

Bubaking

In 2003 DJ Buba & Jason King were sent to listen to music crimes they didn’t commit. They promptly escaped from a commercial seaside town to the dance music underground. Today still wanted by the public, they survive as DJs of fortune

If you have a party, if none else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire.... The BUBAKING

Why some play safe or stale Beats? Bubaking like to mash it up with an "Anything goes including the kitchen sink" attitude and a cheeky old skool twist. A Friendship supplying dodgy white ones over the counter of their local record store (white labels of course) has mutated into The breakbeat equivalent of little & large. They have not looked back with infamous Mix Cds, Radio 1 Minimix for Annie Mac, Burgers & Beats Radio Shows, Cheeky Booties/Re-edits and a string of festival appearances and not forgetting that Bloody Horn Noise!!

When they’re not raiding charity shops, diving in the bargain basement bins or robbing the vinyl crypts, they still find time to share DJ needles on the Breaks & Beats celebrity list including Freddy Fresh, Coldcut, DJ Food, A Skillz, Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors and the Plump DJs to name a few. The duo have built up an infamous reputation (and fanbase) tearing the house up & down throughout London, Brighton, Southampton ,Bristol and their Bournemouth Hometown.

Expect the unexpected and don’t burn your fingers on the fuse wire, They’re no warm up act!!

Lebrosk

Lebrosk's love for all things funky started back in the early 90's when he discovered the likes of Fatboy Slim, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Cut La Roc and The Freestylers.

Following the BigBeat and Breakbeat scene over the years helped land him a partnership and residency with Hayz where they formed Headspin Promotions setting the dancefloor on fire with Funky Breaks, House and Hip Hop! These days, you can catch Lebrosk spinning anywhere from trendy bars in and around London & Brighton, boat parties on the river Thames and not forgetting those infamous North London warehouse parties where he has the crowds dancing til the sun comes up!

With support from Nick Thayer, Tim Beatvandal, DJ Badboe and Kid Stretch, Lebrosk has conjured up a number of bootlegs and mashups which regularly get played on radio shows and out in clubs and bars all over the world. Check some out here on my Soundcloud page

March 2010 saw the release of his first official release with Rory Hoy on Kid Stretch's record label Warriorz. Lebrosk has a monthly radio show hosted on Ramp FM where he plays the funkiest in breaks, NuFunk, house, mashups & bootlegs.

Kool Hertz

Renowned remixer, DJ and producer Kool Hertz has been djing for 14 years around South Africa around the UK.

He's now a resident at Graffiti Rock and an unstoppable force in the NuFunk and breaks scene, with his unique style of booty breaking!

His blinding 'In The Nude' mixtape is a testament to his skills and the sort of flavour you can look forward to at the launch party.

Funkskillz 

With a history stretching back to getting his first pair of Soundlabs with a student loan back in '93, the emphasis Funkskillz' music has always been the funk.

Brought up on the rave breaks of the early 90s whilst studying down in Essex he's been playing breaks in all forms for some 17 years.

He helped to establish 'Method' in Birmingham, playing D&B back in the early noughties but is now content to do the odd exclusive gig here and there. Whether it be double-bass vibed D&B or funk-fuelled disco breaks the Funkskillz feeling keeps 'em reeling.

His latest mixtape should get your juices flowing for the launch party.

 B-Roll

 Chris Cartwright is B-Roll. Born in Canada, to a Danish mother and a Canadian father, he grew up with a range of musical influences.

Moving to London in the hayday of Fabric, the sound of breaks from the Plumps, Lee Coombes, Rennie Pilgrim, Soul of Man and Freestylers pulled him into the breakbeat world. Artists like A-Skillz and Moquee recently moved B-roll into the Nufunk zone, where he now resides.

tOtALcULt

A Midlander with a penchant for all things funky and releases on Booty Pirates and Royal Soul records, tOtALcULt fuses old school funk with hip-hop and earth-quaking bass to devastating effect.

He's also part of the NuFunk.net team, writing several columns for the blog, helping out with features, Q&As and other funk-related media jiggery-pokery.

The Great Dane of Nu Funk - Boe Pedersen (aka BadboE) – has consistently supported the Breakbeat scene and pioneered the resurgence in Bigbeat style NuFunk. His website Breakbeat Paradise is a Mecca for budding producers, his DJ sets the stuff of legend, his releases on Goodgroove, Bombstrikes and his own label a must for every DJ’s crate. He talks candidly to NuFunk.net and shares his views on the scene today…

Tell us about Breakbeat Paradise, the website, the label and how it all came about?

It started out as a community for electronic music producers to share music, samples and compete mainly within the Breakbeat genre. The best tunes and artists from this community joined up and started releasing digitally under the brand Breakbeat Paradise Recordings. Lately we’ve focused on Nu Funk and the funkier side of things. Now, with the first 12” vinyl of the newest Basement Freaks EP, we hope to be one of the leading labels in the Nu Funk scene in years to come.

Many new producers swarm to the site, drawn by amazing free sample packs – is supporting the scene at this grass-roots level important to you?

Yeah, I was looking for a place like that when I first started out, but couldn’t find one anywhere, so I decided to make one. It proved very rewarding in getting to know all the different subgenres in the breaks scene as well as meeting a lot of talented people.

Who should we be keeping an eye on in the Nu Funk scene this year?

There’s so many great new producers coming into the scene these days, everyone is bringing their own flavour. The style’s much more diverse than it used to be, which is great. We have the straight funk type breaks represented by the pioneers Fort Knox Five and All Good Funk Alliance and
b-boy type breaks fronted by A-Skillz and disco breaks perfected by Kid Stretch. The bassier more electro funky breaks from cats like Busta - Stickybuds is awesome too. Obviously, we should all look out for the continuous quality releases from classic labels like Goodgroove, Bombstrikes and Manmade Records.

Who is your favourite Nu Funk DJ?

I like all DJs that put energy into their sets and make things flow. A-Skillz and Featurecast are masters at that and Funkanomics do a hell of good job, too!

What’s your proudest achievement in life?

Musically, I’m sure it was releasing my album Break The Funk, which was everything I ‘d been working on since I started out in the mid 90s. I’m also delighted with the releases on Goodgroove, Bombstrikes and Juno Records.

Tell us how you got into music and the Nu Funk scene?

It’s quite strange - I didn’t really get into the Nu Funk scene, it kinda found me. I’ve been passionate about funky breaks since late 90s and continued this love after the Bigbeat era died. So it was a nice surprise when I found there was a genre that my music fitted into. When I produced my first EP for Auditory Designs entitled Loose Your Funky Self – I didn’t even know it was Nu Funk.

Do you think the Nu Funk scene gets the recognition it deserves?

I think it’s starting to get bigger in the clubbing scene – but most people still don’t know what it is. I’m not sure we’ll see it breaking through to the mainstream, but more as music to make the DJs look good.

And the NuFunk scene in Denmark?  Do the Danes dig Nu Funk?

Nope, there’s no Nu Funk scene in Denmark. I think I might be the only producer in Denmark doing this! The Danish music and clubbing industry is extremely conservative.  If there’s no proof that it works, no one wants to take a risk promoting it. A shame, but I guess that’s very common for small countries. However, when I do get a chance to get out and play here, people get down!

What are your biggest influences when it comes to making music?

I’m inspired by a lot of different music, but mainly old 60s and 70s Soul and Funk records. I also like to play around with oldskool rap acapellas to find those little catchy moments that can be repeated over a fresh funky beat.

Can you reveal a killer production tip for our NuFunk.net members?

Perfecting the beat is always an important element of any Breakbeat tune. Chopping up old breaks doesn’t seem to be enough anymore. A good tip is to empower the old breakbeats by programming a beat around it – to give more punch on the kicks and more crisp on the snares.

Tell us about the new album ‘Break the Funk - Remixed’? Who have you got remixing?
Any stand-out tracks?

Oh yeah – there’s a lot of outstanding artists in this project and I’m very happy with the results. Naturally, I’m very excited to have a Fort Knox Five remix on this and what a tune that is. I think Jayl Funk and Fuzzbox Inc. did an extremely good job on their remixes and also Nick Fonkynson and BigM made superb remixes. Not surprisingly, Basement Freaks, Tal M Klein and Fretless nailed it with their efforts, too!
 
You’ve worked with many artists in the past, who would you most like to work with in the future?

Yes, I have had the pleasure to work with a lot of talented people and I want to continue to do so.  I hope to be doing more vocal collaboration as well as teaming up with other Nu Funk artists on booties and mash-up projects.

Nu Funk culture involves artists ripping up classic tracks, using famous samples to create dancefloor bombs. What’s your view on the use of samples, labels releasing such tracks and the age-old copyright debate?

I think the old copyright laws should be changed to allow people to use what they want. Nu Funk and many other genres are all about chopping up different material and creating new dancefloor grooves. A positive side-effect to this is that all the great old music will be introduced to a new generation – who can argue with that?

Tell us something exclusive about Badboe that nobody else knows?

Another BadboE Bombstrikes EP is in the press and will be out mid July 2010!  It includes the Booty of a Preacherman tune now called Shine Like a Halo, as well as a brand new funky bomb called Master Piece. There’s a video in the making for Shine Like a Halo – look out for it!

What are you thoughts about the launch of NuFunk.net and the community?

It’s awesome.  It’s a great idea to get everybody united in one place. It’s got some really cool people behind it, so I’m sure it’s gonna be a massive success! I’m happy to be part of the NuFunk.net launch on the 9th of July in London, as well as flattered to be asked to do this interview! 
 

 
What does it mean to you to be asked to headline at the NuFunk.net Launch party and what do you think of the line-up?

I’m very excited about this event and look forward to meeting everyone there. I’m very honoured to be headlining and having seen the rest of the line-up, I know this is gonna be a blast of a funky night.

Deep, spacious vocals flow over cinematic strings and sparse percussion as this strolls along. Definitely one for the after-party crowd, this remix takes BadboE’s original down a jazzy chillout route with amazing success.

Let’s Get Ill Ft. Rabbi Darkside

This track is a massive hip-hop bomb. Darkside’s lyrics flow like a bubbling verbal river over tough beats and a filtered horn groove.

Seriously, as if the beat wasn’t wicked enough, the vocal performance raises this to something else entirely. Must be heard to be believed.

Badboe's Gonna Rock the Launch Party!

Denmark's own Godfather of funky breaks, Badboe, is now confirmed as the headline act for our launch party - to take place at The Lost Angel, Battersea on Friday, July 9th.  The venue was voted Best New Bar by TimeOut Magazine recently - it's one of the finest swanky venues London has to offer.

DJs will perform 1v1 in a head-to-head, funk fuelled night of mayhem.  Followed by a headline set by Badboe himself!  Flyer to follow very soon!

Funky Friday Round-Up

Another week of bangers to get your funky strut on to! Loads to get through this week with releases from Mash & Munkee, Johnny Pulse, a phat-ass remix from Badboe and a free mix from D-Funk.

Mash & Munkee - Work It Out EP

Forthcoming on Funk Weapons, this slab of wax is so hot you'll singe your fingers. Pure funky vibes and a deep fuzz bassline with slick disco touches make the title track a surefire smash as Mash & Munkee continue to show they're on a roll in 2010.

On the flip, 'Make A Difference' drops groovy percussion touches, fly, familiar guitar grooves and laid-back vocal snippets backed with a sharp horn section and some lush flute interludes. Serious business.

Neighbour's remix of 'Work It Out' is a guitar-driven bass-heavy stomp through Funky Town while their take on the B-side takes the track into deeply funky synth disco territory. Awesome work.

This is a chugging eccentric ska tune that would sound right at home in a Mr Scruff set, but the real fire here is the Badboe remix. Infusing it with acid touches and hip-hop sensibilities, Badboe once again proves he's got the Midas touch.

Shazalakazoo comes with a tough wubber bass re-rub that's also well worth checking out.

Johnny Pulse - KaBooom

KaBooom indeed - techy touches, fantastic synth work and old-skool breakbeat touches fuse to fierce effect on this triple-tracker from Ireland's Johnny Pulse.

'Beechmount Car Park Waltz' hits with wobble bass and upbeat ska samples, sure to inject some bounce into the laziest of dancefloors.

Funky beats and heavy acidic synths make for some serious groove on 'Don't Be Pathetic' - which also boasts some of the crispiest beats we've heard this week!
